Assessment of my new FNP-45

The pros: I love the way this gun shoots and fits in my hands. The recoil is not much more than my FNP-9 I purchased a month earlier. It's big and beefy, and the big deep grooves carved in the grip feel very solid in the palm. I tried the curved and the flat back strap, and found that the flat back strap felt much more stable and secure. It's a "manley" gun, and with 14 rounds +1, it's great to shoot without having to reload so much. With three clips included in the purchase, it will throw a lot of lead down range very fast when target shooting. It's a very fun gun to shoot. It slays bottles, cans, and other junk laying out in the desert with an amazing level of effeciency and entertainment. For the money, this gun is a blast (no pun intended).
Cons: Out of the box, the gun stove pipe jammed every time when chambering the first round. The problem persisted through the first 100 rounds or so, then eased a bit. I found that I needed to pull back really hard on the slide to get the first round to load up without jamming. I contacted FN technical support, and they said the gun needed to break in and needed a few more hundred rounds. The problem does seem to be getting better, but I found it kind of annoying for a new gun. I should mention that FN's technical support is excellent. They offered to take it back for warranty work with free shipping, but I opted to go the break in route.
The trigger feels a little more sloppy than I would like. I'm probably going to take it to a gun smith to see about a trigger tune-up sometime in the future. I'm not to confident or pleased in the factory fixed sights. The gun seems to shoot a little left of target. FN will align the sights for free if you ask. I still find this issue somewhat annoying. I wish the sights were more easily adjustable.
Overall, it's a hoss of a piece that feels great to shoot. With 15 rounds and three clips, it's the best 45 I could find for the money.
Happy shooting.

The pistol been waiting for ,for long time. My personal concern is how to find the perfect holster for concealed carry.
