Really a fun rifle and surprisingly accurate. I would give it 5 stars but it has a horrible trigger and a really cheap stock. I had to remove the stock and pour out shavings and crap from production. I glad there is many options for stocks. Still trying to figure out how I can improve the trigger without converting the rifle. I like the feel of the rifle now (poormans m-14) and don't want to add a pistol grip or move the trigger group. It will be a fun prodject.

These guns from saiga are awesome! why spend over a thousand dollars on a AR type of rifle when you can get an AK style rifle in 308. One thing you can count on is this gun will never jam but a AR rifle ..well thats a different story.

I bought this gun about two months ago at a local gun show and have modified with with the help of Gilbert Guns and others while remaining 922r compliant. The accuracy is solid and I have put every piece of trash round of ammunition I have through this thing without one jam.
I have in my life owned a Colt AR-15, a match M!-A, and and Ruger Mini-14, and as much as I hate to admit it, this is a better gun based on only one parameter. If the world were to blow up tomorrow, I know it will shoot every time, it will not jam, and it will hit the target.
The only downside is the concussion from the muzzle blast with the 16" barrel, but in the grand scheme of things I can deal with that.
For the price you cannot go wrong. And just as an aside, the Tapco accessories work wonderfully!
