Very nice product

I gave it four stars because it does not have provision for a sling attachment or sling stud. This forces you to use a Picatinny sling attachment which are quite pricey. This raise the overall price which is already high. Provision for a upper rail would have been nice as well by the way... Still one of the best product in its class for Saiga.
GilbertsGuns.com Response: They did intentionally leave that option off this product so the customer could afix any attachment they prefer. A superb quality Ergo attachment runs about $11

Awesome Accessory

This is the ideal railed forearm for my .308. Picatinney mount Sling Post and Bipod fit on there for a great overall solution to round out all the accessories needed for my IZ-139. Definitely a must if you need anything out front.
After quick and very easy installation, I found all accessories mounted with a firm placement, nothing loose or wiggles around. I also have plenty of room for IR lamps or other tactical accessories.
Many thanks to Jason for getting these out promptly once production runs were complete.

If you've been looking for a rail system for your saiga wait no more. A tad pricey at $80, but very well made. Heavy duty polymer with a metal core. Very stable and solid but not too heavy like the UTG rails for AR. The rails don't come back quite as far as I would like for a front veticle grip, but it's not too bad. Looks sweet and fits well. The lower rail is long enough to fit verticle grip and bipod/flashlight. I believe this counts as a one american made part as well for 922R comliance. I would give 5 stars but at almost 1/4 the price of the gun it's just a tad too expensive. Gilberts shipped immediately and arrived in three days.

Rock Solid for Rock and roll

I received my fore grip and couldn’t wait to get it in. I was able to remove the stock fore grip and install the one I got from gilberts in about 3 minutes with only a medium sized flat head screw driver. It was GREAT!! The easiest gun mod I have ever made. The old one slid out and with a little wiggle and a bump of the butt on the rug the tongue slid in and all of the holes matched up. Be Careful of the front end near the muzzle. The new fore grip has two flanges that are supposed to ride up over two little metal pegs that protrude laterally from each side of the mount. When I slid mine on, I encountered a small snag and had to lift it away from the barrel towards the muzzle end to get over the resistance then snug it back up against the barrel to slide it over the pegs. That was the only potential gotcha.
The only down side was losing the integrated strap clip that was in the stock fore grip. Now I have to get a picatinny mounted sling mount but for the added functionality of the rails, it was worth it.
I combined mine with the side rail mount from Gilberts also, Stock # SAIGA973. That takes care of the top mount for my scope with the other rails for the laser and the front mounted grip and tactical flashlight.

Great Rail

Great designed product. I searched and searched for something like this for months. Of course there are other AK rail systems out there that may or may not work for twice the price of this one, but this keeps the stock look of your Saiga AND gives you 3 rails AND allows disassembly without removing the handguard. It is also vented for extra barrel cooling. It is very toughly constructed and I believe it is metal reinforced. Only con so far is it has no provision for a sling mount which is easily remedied by a picatinny rail mounted sling mount. If you own a Saiga and have been wanting a picatinny rail system, this is the one.
