Daniel Defense GL/SSC 5.56 Pistol With 12.5" Barrel

The legend returns. The once unobtainable GL/SSC

Some firearms aren't just rare — they're legendary. The GL/SSC is both. The original was so unobtainable that only 25 ever reached civilian hands — and even then, builders went to extraordinary lengths just to get close.

Now, for the first time, it's available to the general public. The GL/SSC is built around a 12.5" Cold Hammer Forged Government profile barrel on a carbine-length gas system, paired with the iconic free-float RIS II rail and integrated hanger system for full M203 and suppressor compatibility. No workarounds. No compromises. The real thing.

The free-float GL/SSC RIS II rail provides space for accessories while helping preserve barrel harmonics. It also incorporates the GL/SSC integrated hanger system as part of the design.

The GL/SSC is built for enthusiasts, collectors, and responsible firearm owners who value authentic configuration, premium manufacturing, and a purpose-built platform

The GL/SSC earned that reputation because of its limited original civilian availability, distinctive factory configuration, and strong interest among enthusiasts seeking an authentic GL/SSC platform.
